Women's Butterfly Qigong Workshop

  • YogaSource 314 S. Guadalupe St Santa Fe, NM 87501 (map)

The MogaDao qigong form, Butterfly, also known as the Thousand Waters is the quintessential women’s form, containing and expressing all the archetypes of the feminine, from manifesting to deep internality; from our innocent wonder to our chthonic, birth- and death-giving power.

This sensual form expresses the essence of The Power of the Yin.

The women’s qigong practice has been very powerful for me as a tool in connecting with myself and being able to listen to my inner knowing. This has helped me have reverence for my sexuality and myself as a woman and cultivates appreciation for myself.

This workshop will offer an introduction to Butterfly qigong.

There will be simple qigong warm up forms that orient us to the awareness and sensitivity of cultivating energy and embodying the the polarities of yin and yang.

Then we will focus on this beautiful women’s form, with guidance, powerful imagery, and the richness of practicing in a sacred women’s circle.

No previous experience with qigong is necessary.

Please note: This event will be held at YogaSource on Guadalupe; however it is an independent event, not sponsored by YS. Preregister here, or contact me directly.

Some of these teachings and practices are derived from the original practice tradition of MogaDao, created and founded by Zhenzan Dao.
